Wrightsville

… community on the mainland of E New Hanover County near the mouth of Bradleys Creek and Middle Sound. Settled about 1780. Known at one time as Wrightsville Sound. Named for Joshua G. Wright (1840-94) of Wilmington, organizer of a real estate agency.
