Little River

… rises in E Perquimans and W Pasquotank Counties and flows SE on the county line into Albemarle Sound. Appears on the Comberford map, 1657, as Yeopim River but is correctly shown on the Ogilby map, 1671. In 1662 the Indians in the area knew the river as Kototine. The legislature met at Little River in 1707, 1709, 1712, and 1716.
