South Yadkin River

… rises in NE Alexander County and flows SE across Iredell County and to the Davie-Rowan county line, which it forms to its junction with Yadkin River. Also sometimes known as South Fork Yadkin River. Appears as "Sapona or Yatkin River" on the Moseley map, 1733. See also Cedar Run Creek; Mill Fork.
